Today, Chief Justice Rabner issued the 2016-2017 General Assignment Order, which is available here. This document contains the assignments of all Superior and Tax Court judges for the coming term.
Relevant to the Appellate Division, the General Assignment Order continues Judge Messano as Presiding Judge for Administration and Judge Sabatino as Deputy Presiding Judge for Administration. The eight parts (lettered from A through H as usual) have as Presiding Judges (in addition to Judge Messano, who will preside over Part E, and Judge Sabatino, who will be Presiding Judge of Part A) Judges Lihotz (Part B), Reisner (Part C), Alvarez (Part D), Fisher (Part F), Yannotti (Part G), and Fuentes (Part H). That is the same lineup of Presiding Judges as for 2015-2016.
As is customary, the makeup of the eight Parts has been rejiggered. Only five pairs of judges who sat together in 2015-2016 are together again for 2016-2017. They are: Judges Hoffman and Gibbons Whipple (Part B for the coming term), Judges Alvarez and Manahan (Part D), Judges Simonelli and Carroll (Part E), Judges St. John and Guadagno (Part G), and Judges Koblitz and Kennedy (Part H).
